Qualities Needed for Career Growth

In order to develop the career the theory of Krumboltz is the most significant. As per the opinion of John Krumboltz, established career theorist indecision is very much desirable as well as sensible as it renders the opportunity for clients to get benefit from unplanned events. The theorist opines that an individual person should have some of the major qualities for enhancing the entire career growth (Patton and McMahon 2014). These qualities imply curiosity to explore learning opportunities, persistence to deal with obstacles, flexibility to address a variety of circumstances and events, optimism to maximize benefits from unplanned events. After being involved with a specific business organization, an individual employee may have to face innumerable difficulties in enhancing the path of career. That individual person should have the efficiency of dealing with any kind of situation peacefully. In addition, an efficient employee should have the capability of controlling the entire business process effectively (Patton and McMahon 2014). Therefore, this specific theory enables an individual in being accustomed with the professional environment or developing the entire career.

On the other hand, Holland’s theory believe that a particular individual is constituted with six major personalities including Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. Holland opines that people having same personality can easily create an agile work environment. Most of the people in reality are the combination of several types including realistic, investigative or artistic (Lent 2013). In this kind of situation, these people are very much flexible with different types of occupations. I as an individual person am very much responsible having consistency in performance. I like to enhance my career amidst excellent learning experience. Intellectualism and deliberate dedication is my strength. With the help of Krumboltz theory would get to know on how to handle immediate crisis. If any kind of situation makes me confused, I should never divert my focus towards anywhere.

Conclusion:

Krumboltz theory can help me to learn on how to explore learning opportunities effectively. In an organization, I will have to work with both senior and junior employees. Therefore, I can get the scope to receive different lesson on how to enhance my level of skill and competency from my senior as well as juniors. I as an individual should have the capability to handle any kind of major crisis happening at the workplace. As a result, my path of career would be increased automatically. On the other hand, Holland’s theory made me learn that people are amalgamated with different components including Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional (Kolb 2014). I as a performer am the combination of both realistic and artistic. If I have to hold the position of an operation manager, I would not like to follow the conventional management strategies and policies. I would like to follow artistic implementation within the strategies with the help of which an innovative strategy can be rendered at the workplace. In addition, these two theories would help me on how to render career progression amidst ample workplace challenges.

Efficient Management and Control of Business Processes

As an academic qualification, I have completed BSC Honors. Along with maintaining my academic qualification, I have maintained a professional course as well. In order to apply for the post of organizational manager I have achieved a degree in oil and gas management. While achieving the university degree I have realized that the organizations tend to give high respect and dignity to the operation managers. In addition, the role of an efficient manager is huge in range (Clarke 2013). This particular individual has to make a constant control over the entire process of business. Therefore, the success of a business organization is highly dependent on the efficiency of an operation manager. However, at the time of my university life I have decided to make a professional course in oil and gas management so that I can control the entire team as well as production of an organization. In addition, I have observed that every business industry needs an efficient manager who can maintain a balance between customers’ needs and demands. In this kind of situation, people belonging to different geographical boundaries and attitudes tend to purchase products as well as services.

However, a specific oil and natural gas industry always needs an efficient manager who would be able to control the entire business process. The employees should be treated with in such a way that they do not have to face any kind of health issue at the workplace (Reddan and Rauchle 2012). I have an ambition in holding the position of a manager in oil and natural gas industry. The role of manager is very much challenging based on which a specific business organization can measure their rate of success. In addition, the role of manager is to control the business. They should think on the benefits and facilities of the managers as well as satisfaction level of the customers. However, the realm of oil and gas industry is vast. Large numbers of organizations are there that belong to this specific industry (Crawshaw, Van Dick and Brodbeck 2012). Therefore, I have decided to enhance my professional skill in manager so that I can apply for the post of operation executive. After serving for several years in the post of operation executive, I would be able to apply for the post of manager as well. The way of success can easily be achieved after receiving a degree on operation management as well.

Conclusion:

As a job seeker, I need to concentrate on the various posts and vacancies that are available within the organization right now. After making an effective comparative analysis I have observed that oil and gas industry is the sector where large number of organization is seeking for the post of operation executives. I do not have experience in being associated with a particular business organization. Being a fresher, I can apply for the post of operation executive in order to accept the challenges for being an efficient business expert.    

Responsibilities of an Operation Manager

While searching for a job I have identified few suitable designation for me among which I have identified one. My focus is to concentrate on oil and natural gas industry.  I have identified that Ritchie Bros is multi-channel company occupying a predominant place in various sectors such as oil and gas, transportation, construction and on. I have focused to apply for the post of manager in oil and gas industry. The primary responsibilities that would have to follow as an manager include:

• Observing the various aspects of site management and improving operational efficiency of oil and gas sector
• Leading the entire team and motivating the employees towards business performances
• Playing an active role of promoting the entire business process of Ritchie Bros

As per my Linkdin profile as well as my curriculum vitae, I have completed my graduation in oil and gas management. At the same time, I have completed a professional degree as well in oil and natural gas management so that I do not have to struggle in handling the need and demands of the employees. While completing my management degree I have completed several internships as well from small and medium enterprises in the post of operation executive. As a result, while applying for the post of manager I do not have to face any kind of challenges in dealing with the employees as well as with the customers.

Conclusion:

As a performer, I am a quick learner based on which I can cope up with any kind of situation. If I have to face any kind of challenge while dealing with the employees, I have the capability to make a participative approach for making a collective decision. As a result, the employees would like to show their interest in sharing the problems faced at the workplace. As an operation manager, I should never impose my own decision on the employees. With the help of participative decision-making process I would like to receive the opinion of employees as well so that they can show their courageous attitude in performing well towards the services.
