Challenges Associated with Implementation of Wireless Network

Project Scope

The project scope reflects on the implementation of wireless network within the university campus of Phoenix. The implementation of Cisco Unified Wireless network help un resolving the issues that the university faces due to the presence of different distributed controller systems from multiple vendors. In addition to this, the system is also helpful in enhancing flexibility of the wireless system.

Challenges

The challenges that are associated with the implementation of wireless network are elaborated below:

Provide state-of-the-art learning environment: It is quite challenging to implement a wireless network system that will provide proper network facility.

Reduce wireless network slowdowns and downtime: With the help of the newly implemented system is quite difficult to reduce the wireless network downtime as well as slowdown.

Protect against security threats: One of the greatest challenge that the wireless network system faces are due to insufficient protection against security threat therefore, it is quite necessary to provide proper threat mitigation steps so that the problem of security threats can be easily resolved.

User-centric design concept 100

The implementation of wireless network system generally utilizes the concept of user centric design. It is identified that user centric design that is applied for implementing the wireless network system consists of number of processes in which the usability goals, characteristics of the user, workflow of the system as well as services that are provided gains proper attention at each step of implementation phase in order to design the system appropriately.

The entire phases of design are generally outlined and then the system is developed by ensuring that the system that is implemented will be beneficial for the users. In addition to this, it is identified that the concept of user centric design utilizes some of the general steps that includes proper specification of context that is used, requirements, design solutions as well as proper evaluation of design that is implemented.

 The benefits of implementing wireless network are illustrated below:

 Flexible access of the system: The newly implemented wireless network system is quite beneficial for the users as it generally helps in providing flexible access of the system.

 Reduces operating cost: Due to the implementation of the newly implemented wireless system, the authority of the organization does not need to spend money on maintaining various access points as well as distributed controller system from multiple vendors.

                Resolves the issue of independent interaction: Previously, the system requires independent engineers in order to fix any type of problem that is associated with the system however with the implementation of newly wireless network system, the problem of independent interaction can be easily resolved as the system.

Limitations and Conclusions

The limitations of the system are as follows:

 Security: It is identified that wireless network can be easily accessed with the help of computer within the range of proper network signal so that information that is transmitted with the help of network.

 Speed: It is analysed that sometimes wireless networks are slower than wired networks.

 It can be concluded from the entire assignment that the development of wireless information system is quite helpful in resolving the issues that the organization faces.  It is identified that the newly implemented system not only resolves the issues but also helps in enhancing the access flexibility. In addition to this, the authority of the organization does not need to spend money on maintaining different access points as well as distributed controller system and thus the system helps in reducing operating cost.
