The tuition model focuses on rewarding perseverance in one’s studies at the college. The tuition model informs on the need to be time conscious and organized in the daily routine at the college (Abel and Deitz 2014, p. 33).Time consciousness aids in quick completion and thus one saves costs. The two models will pave the way for the efficiency of the student where one will be keener in achieving his aims rather than wasting time and resources that are scarce.

Task 2 Understanding Project-Oriented Approach in Business Analysis Based on Module 3

To begin with is paramount to involve the decision-making tool that will aid in the formulating of the most feasible decisions that will help in the achievement of the end goals. The ability to make the right decisions will create an opportunity where you will be able to be informed on the right path and how to go about it in the most effective manner.  

Also, it is essential to encompass the evaluation tool that will help in reviewing if the model is working or not. The tool will assess the variation between the expected results against the actual results. After evaluation of the results the student will be able to make changes where applicable to achieve the desired outcome. The evaluation tool may be the examination. Where a student may have set target marks that he wants to work so hard to achieve them. It would be possible if the evaluation were carried out to check on the deviation that occurred after the results are out. If the marks were achieved, then it is time for one to set new goals. The tools will instigate effectiveness of the tools, and thus the models will be successful.

the decision by CLT to build project managers from its existing employee base and advice to the CLT for strong project management skills in the company

 It is a good decision for CLT to recruit internally.  Building project managers from within the company will enable CLT to save on resources that otherwise would be used in activities such as; advertising for the job vacancies, conducting interviews and training. Conversely, an employee from within is well conversant with the culture of CLT and hence saves on the orientation procedures (Creto 2015, p. 32).  Also, motivation is urged through creating a positive perception towards performance for the reward of promotion amongst the workers. For CLT to have strong project management skills, it has to ensure that its workers have the competent skills in the business through exposing them to activities such as; seminars, workshops, bench- marks and training (Turner 2014, p. 22).  With the competent skills, the workers will be apt, ready to progress and to acknowledge changes.  Also, CLT should embark on strengthening its culture so that every worker is familiar with the norms, beliefs and the attitudes that are related to the CLT’s business structure.

Criteria for Monica to use to measure whether Stewart (or any other potential project manager) is ready for project management responsibility.

   The first criteria would be Management by Objectives which will involve the employees having their goals known to the manager.  The manager, as a result, assesses the available resources that will be required to achieve the goals of the employee.  The goals should be achievable within a time frame. Afterward the Monica will have the role of reviewing the objectives of Stewart. In order to make the goals realizable, Monica will help Stewart reset the goals so that he can align the resources available at the time. The degree of performance is arrived at by the quantity of goals attained within the specified time frame (Cohodes and Goodman 2014, p. 252).The MBO will set the pace for the Stewart where he will always aim at attaining his goals so that he can come up with more challenging goals. One is capable of being a manager if he can achieve even the slightest objectives.

Stewart must balance his diverse roles to meet his targets ( Kerzner 2013,p. 22).  Teamwork is relevant in a work situation, and so Stewart must embrace teams so that together they can work towards the core goals of CLT. Abiding by the ethical requirements is key to professionalism.  Being ethical will pave the way to the path-goal to be acted upon.

The best method would be the questionnaires. The questionnaires will enable Edward to gather information on the values and the expectations of the users. The questionnaires need to contain the questions that are relevant to the organization’s interests. Questionnaires are easy to administer because of the ease to distribute them say through the emails.  Filling a questionnaire form is fast as compared to conducting an interview. And thus the project manager is more sensitive to time (Turner 2014, p. 45).The use of a representative for the entire group does not cover the opinions of all users as in the case of a questionnaire. Edward should follow the basic requirements of formulating a questionnaire. The questionnaire should have short, simple and precise questions that will make it easy for the users to apprehend and respond in the most detailed manner.

How can Edward involve customers in the process and how to make them participate. Also, methods that Edward can use to ensure that the customers he involves are representative of John and Jacob’s entire customer group.

Questionnaires will be relevant in engaging the customers in the new project. Questionnaires will insight the company to the most viable expectation of the customers. Equipping the customers with the relevant information about the project will make them understand the essence of the project and the benefits they will derive from it.  Edward can use the systematic random sampling that majorly involves the selection of the nth item (Bryman and Bell 2015, p. 34). Edward can also use the stratified simple random that is mainly associated with the dividing of the population into two groups that are known as strata and then from the strata the manager will randomly select customers that will consist the sample size (Shard et al.  2013, p. 40).

 The two methods will be the best in acquiring a sample population that is a true representative of the customers of the organization. Though other nonprobability methods can be used, it is important to use the probability methods that are more accurate in the selection process.

 The other stakeholders that Edward should include are the suppliers, the government and the employee Edward will evaluate the importance of each stakeholder for instance what are the benefits of involving the government as criteria. The other criteria are to assess the negative impacts of not involving the stakeholders for example what are the demerits of not considering the suppliers, if at all there are demerits then Edward must involve the suppliers as one of the major stakeholders (Sharda et al.  2013, p. 35).

The guidelines that Edward will use in selecting the stakeholders include identifying the stakeholders regarding their levels. Stakeholders vary regarding their values, and that’s why they are usually grouped according to their magnitude of their contribution for example primary, secondary and external stakeholders. There should be a guideline that the stakeholders that play a major role in the organization say the loyal customers should always be considered.
