The effectiveness of business in the business world enable the business to grow and become successful in its operations. Business environmental factors play an important role in the environment operations and its achievement of the strategic objectives. For instance, business environment and customers enable the business to effectively plan and design its production processes. In addition, the globalization factors such as technology and connection play an important role in the spread of business products and marketing promotion. Samsung group is one of the leading technology and service group of company with a wide network of branches spread across the world. In terms of performance, the company has many divisions that have exemplary performed gaining global ranking among its competitors. Moreover, the company has been leading in innovation and technology making it one of the companies that have to reach a large number of geographical targets. For example, Samsung Mobile a department within Samsung electronics division has been the largest producer of mobile by volume in the world. The following paper analyses Samsung group companies for its effectiveness in the business world.

1.a. Samsung Group is a South Korean group of companies that are united under the brand name of Samsung. The company was started in 1938 by Lee Byung-Chul from where the company has spread to many countries throughout the world. The Samsung has various divisions that range from textile, insurance, securities, retail and electronic, heavy machine industries. The flagship company product that has been leading in the market is the electronic division that has spread throughout the world. The company currently has influence in various market factors including politics within the South Korean government being one of the largest companies in the country.

b. PESTEL analysis of the company is important for enabling the company to meet its objectives in a number of ways. Firstly, the analysis of PESTEL enables the business for strategic planning and this is important for ensuring the business to realize its objectives.  The analysis assists the company to understand the market environment and plan effectively for working towards the business objectives. Secondly, the market factors that form part of the PESTEL analysis is useful for the company to analyses the new market the company intends to invest in. for instance, the Samsung company can use its PESTEL analysis to evaluate a market situation within another country before entering the market.

2.a. Globalization refers to the process of developing international influence and operation beyond the country boundaries. Globalization has been facilitated through various technological and innovation advancement enabling the business to gain global influence.  Globalization has many different advantages among business and organization that enable those organizations to conduct business effectively and reach a huge number of customers spread across the world. Samsung is an example of an organization that has gained significant international business influence through globalization.

Globalization has influenced the spread of various company products since the organization is an international business. Firstly, the globalization has increased the spread of electronic products of the company being a flagship division of the company. For example, globalization has increased the marketing and the spread of the Samsung mobile phone to many countries globally as many customers can purchase the mobile phone through electronic channels. Secondly, globalization has increased the marketing of company products to various countries where the company has had a network of branches. Globalization tools such as the development of the internet have been useful in the dissemination of company’s advertisements to many different customers spread across the world.

1.b. PESTEL analysis of Samsung Group

b. Technology is an aspect of growth factors that have impacted the success of Samsung in the country and internationally. Firstly, technologies have increased the production and distribution of the products sold by the company. Samsung has been listed as one of the innovative companies in the world through its innovative capabilities and its ability to develop more innovative products. Secondly, technologies have helped the company to reach its many customers through marketing and distribution of products. Samsung especially the electronic division has used the advanced technologies to market its products through advertisement and campaigns leading to growth.

3.a. Samsung has a range of customer that depends on its products produced through various company divisions. Samsung has a number of target customers that include technological and electronic, insurance service, heavy machines, and other products. The flagship product that has more customers is the electronic division that has mobile phones and computers. The company targets a variety of customers’ segmentations that include age class of between 20 to 65 years as they can purchase the company products. In addition, the company has customers with diversified social class and this has been targeted through a wide variety of products.  

It is important for Samsung to understand its customers as it enables the company to reach customers effectively and improve the production of company products. Firstly, understanding customers is important for determining the behavior of customers for effective advertisement. Customer behavior is important for the determination of customer’s buying and this important for effective competition in the market. Secondly, the understanding the customer is also important for improving production since the production of products is influenced customer’s need. Samsung has used its customer behavior and needs to design its products especially electronic devices.

b. Samsung can attract more customers to the market through product promotion and good market penetration strategies. Firstly, in order for Samsung to reach more customers both locally and internationally, good marketing strategies that will see the company marketing its products in another market outside the country is essential. In addition, marketing strategies such as intensive social media marketing campaigns are necessary to ensure that the company reaches a huge number of customers available online through social media. Secondly, the company can also develop clear and good market penetrations strategies that will ensure that the company penetrates into other markets where it has not invested before. Moreover, the company can reach more customers in countries where it has not invested through online marketing and presence. Many competitors are currently reaching more customers through online marketing strategies and product promotions.  

4.a. Ethics plays an important role in the operation and management of Samsung group business. Firstly, ethics determines the productivity of the operation of various divisions of the company. For instance, in the Samsung heavy industries division, the ethics determine productivity through reducing pollution and accountability. Secondly, ethical codes of business are used to determine the corporate responsibility of products in the market. The company has been working on its corporate social responsibility especially with regard to the environment and technologies that are an important feature of the company’s product line. Thirdly, ethics also play an important role in the marketing of Samsung products as the advertisement has to fulfill the ethical standards both of honesty and accountability. When designing the advertisements that form a major budget portion of the company, ethics is used to relay the message placed on advert.

b. Samsung has been reducing pollution emitted into the environment to remain a corporate responsible company in the environment. There are many different competitors that are currently competing with Samsung within the international business environment. One example of a competitor is Intel corporation that is also producing various technological products such as conductors and transistors. Intel has developed has developed many different environmental pollution detections and monitoring systems that ensure that limited pollutant gases such as Co2 are released into the environment. Samsung has also developed other environmental strategies that include a theme center that shows a company’s responsibility towards the environment. Secondly, the company has developed corporate social responsibility procedures that enhance heavy industry production with limited environmental pollution. This is similar to Google Inc that is another competitor of Samsung. Google Inc has been in the forefront to develop environmental strategies that ensure the business reduces the amount of carbon and Co2 emitted to the environment.      

Conclusion

In conclusion, there are many factors that enable the business to remain effective in the business world especially where there are many competitors. Samsung has been successful in reaching many different international environments since its products have been successful in the market. Some of the contributing factors that have resulted in the success of the Samsung business in the market include ethics, technological and innovation, and marketing strategy. The company also has environmental strategies that help reduce pollution and adverse gases into the environment.
