Help me study for my Business Law class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

• Why should the doctrine of stare decisis exist as law? If a legal doctrine is wrong, should it not be overruled and replaced with the correct legal doctrine?
• Do rules for “standing to sue” unfairly limit the ability of citizens to protect or maintain the environment?
• Is it ever possible to separate “doing the right thing” from the profit motive?
